The m272 v6 engine used in the 2006 c230 has a potential to have a bad balance shaft, which has an idler sprocket gear for the timing chain. Rated 4.7 out of 5 stars. Durability was second to none in the 70s and i am convinced that the new c class is a return to form.

Quite apart from the common electrical niggles, there are some serious and regular mechanical defects. It is reliable, solid and easy on the driver and passengers.
